OTEL engineer Dan Matoka has just finished fabricating this good looking body and crane fit out on this new Isuzu FTS800 4×4 chassis for Northpower which will be based out of Whangarei, Northland.

It has a Palfinger PK15500C crane and is equipped with radio remote controls and a hydraulic hose reel for the 500mm and 600mm earth auger with 1 metre extension and hydraulic drive motor that is stored on the deck. It also has a front outrigger beam with hydraulic legs.

The deck features Aluminum hinging sides for weight savings and a special non skid deck coating for safety. Also fabricated into the body design is a under deck toolbox, Lt hand wash and soap dispenser, earth rods, certified tow-bar, storage hooks, Lt emergency water container and in built load anchorage tie down points. It also has a front mounted Holland pintle hook off a certified tow-bar assembly to help in the event of being stuck. LED lights are fitted with roof beacons and K&H remote control work lamps on the cab roof.

It is also fitted out with large off road rims and tires and runs as a Category 1 over dimensional vehicle because of its width and specially fabricated over width rear mudguards with over dimension hi-vis decals encase the large off road rear wheels.

It has been sandblasted and finished with Resene two pack paint to clients fleet colours.
